Josephine Sinamano of Carrollton leads recycling effort at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine's Doylestown campus

2017 Nov 28

To reduce the carbon footprint at the Pennsylvania Biotech Park, home of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine's Doylestown campus, master of biomedical sciences (MBS) student Josephine Sinamano of Carrollton initiated a recycling campaign. The campaign was launched this fall in partnership with the Hepatitis B Foundation and Leck Waste Services, which provides commercial and industrial waste pick-up and single-stream recycling service to customers in Bucks and other counties. The mission of the campaign is to increase recycling efforts at the biopark by recycling 70-percent of collected waste.
