Jessica Briscoe of Houston, other Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine third-year medical students, to be inducted into Gold Humanism Honor Society

Jessica Briscoe of Houston and 13 other third-year medical students at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine have been notified that they will be inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS).

The mission of the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) is to recognize individuals who are exemplars of humanistic patient care and who can serve as role models, mentors, and leaders in medicine. GHHS honors medical students, residents, fellows, role-model physician teachers and others who demonstrate excellence in humanistic clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service. GHHS currently has more than 25,000 members in training and practice.

GHHS was founded by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works with healthcare professionals to ensure that compassion, respect and empathy are at the core of all healthcare interactions The induction ceremony will take place during the students' fourth year.
