Douglas Wells of Barnesville, other Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine students organize seventh annual charity 3-on-3 basketball tournament

Douglas Wells of Barnesville and several other second-year medical students at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, organized the seventh annual ALLEY-OOP FOR AUTISM three-on-three charity basketball tournament. The event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Byron Recreational Complex at The University of Scranton. In addition to the tournament, the event features a three-point contest for $10.

All proceeds will benefit the Northeast Regional Autism Center at Friendship House in Scranton.

Check in for the tournament is 8:30 a.m. at Byron Recreational Complex at The University of Scranton. Registration by Feb. 15 is $35 per team. Players must be 18 years of age or older. All participants receive a free T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to three-point contest winner and to the first-place team.
