Daniel Mecca of Dickson City, other Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine students, receive military commission

Daniel Mecca of Dickson City, along with three other Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine graduating medical students, received a military commission at the school's annual awards ceremony held May 5.

Mecca, second lieutenant in the Army Reserve, was commissioned captain, U.S. Army.

He will begin a residency in urology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
